They had a vanilla smoothie, and victini wanted that so the lions gave the smoothie to victini in exchange of friendship

victini accept the milkshake as a ruse in order to get their guard down, but the moment the lions relaxed, all the rest of the pokemon attacked. there were great casualties on the lions' side and the lions and victini are now sworn enemies.

Isn't one of the pokemon straight up just God? Technically that would guarantee victory for the pokemon

I feel like this is a great point but also a billion lions is a lot of lions; if they tried hard enough they could defeat a god. Maybe not through means of violence alone.
